Download the Endcrawl Lookbook

With over 200,000 fonts in the world, it can be tough to know where to start.

Never fear! After doing end titles for several thousand films, we've got opinions on what fonts work and what fonts don't.

Most fonts don't work. In particular, we've found that serif fonts and lighter weights don't hold up well under scrolling motion. An ideal font for end titles will be sans serif and start at Regular or Medium weight. Bonus points if it comes in a condensed width so you can really pack all those names in.

To share our hard-won knowledge and give you a good starting point, we've curated our favorite free and open-source typefaces for end credits, then built a set of lovely typeface specimens from them.

The result is Endcrawl's Lookbook (pdf). You can download scrolling renders below. And if you like what you see, any of these can be picked from the Fonts tab in Endcrawl.
